The Odyssey Teaching School Hub is running a series of Teacher Taster Days. You’ll find out how to get into teaching, the routes available and how to apply for training in Gloucestershire.

Teaching is undoubtedly a rewarding profession that allows you to make a difference. Unquestionably a true vocation, a career in teaching allows you to inspire the next generation.  As a teacher you will be a lifelong learner. Teaching offers strong job security, many flexible working options and a huge array of career opportunities and prospects. No two days are ever the same. When you see visible results from pupils its guaranteed to send you home each day with a sense of satisfaction and pride.

At the same time, we like to think that Gloucestershire is a particularly good area in which to train and work within the profession. The majority of training provision is rated as Outstanding by Ofsted and collaboration between schools in the region is strong. There is, therefore, a wide range of professional development opportunities, in a wide range of school contexts.

Our next Taster Days will take place on the following dates at Odyssey Teaching School Hub, Pate’s Grammar School, Cheltenham, GL51 0HG.

Thursday 6th June 2024  9am – 3pm
